Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the StoryHug app and services. By creating an account or using StoryHug, you agree to these Terms. StoryHug is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian, and the account holder must be at least 18 years old.

Accounts & Parental Responsibility

• Only a parent or legal guardian may create a StoryHug account and add a child profile.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity under your account.
• You confirm you have the authority to provide information about, and consent on behalf of, any child you add.
• Tell us right away at support@storyhug.in if you believe your account has been used without permission.

Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal

StoryHug offers an auto-renewable subscription, StoryHug Premium, billed monthly or yearly through your app-store account.

• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price shown at purchase.
• Prices may change; if they do, we will tell you in advance, and any change applies only to future renewal periods.

Managing & Cancelling

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:

• On iOS: open your App Store account settings, tap Subscriptions, select StoryHug, and choose Cancel.
• On Android: open Google Play, tap Payments & subscriptions, select StoryHug, and choose Cancel.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, you keep Premium access until then.
• Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription; you must cancel through your app-store account.

Free Trials & Refunds

• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Purchases are processed by the app stores. Refunds are handled under Apple's or Google's refund policies, and we cannot directly issue store refunds.
• For questions about a charge, contact support@storyhug.in and we will help where we can.

Acceptable Use

When using StoryHug, you agree not to:

• Copy, redistribute, or resell stories, audio, or other content
• Reverse engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the app or its security
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm a child
• Upload voice recordings of anyone who has not consented to being recorded

Story content and AI features are provided to support a child's reading experience and are not a substitute for adult supervision.

Content & Intellectual Property

StoryHug and its content, including stories, audio, artwork, and software, are owned by StoryHug or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your family's non-commercial use. You retain ownership of the content you provide (such as a child profile or a recorded voice), and you grant us the limited permission needed to operate the service for you.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

StoryHug is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryHug is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes & Termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email, and continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms. You may stop using StoryHug and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated.
