Delete Your Account & Data

Delete in the app (fastest)

1. Open StoryHug and go to Settings.
2. Tap Delete Account.
3. Confirm the parental check, then confirm the final "Delete forever" prompt.

Your account, every child profile, and all voice data are removed and you are signed out on that device immediately.

Delete by email

If you can't access the app, email support@storyhug.in from the email address on your StoryHug account and ask us to delete your account. We may ask you to confirm a few details to verify you are the account holder before we proceed.

What gets deleted

Deletion is permanent and removes:

• Your parent account and sign-in
• Every child profile you created (names, ages, interests, listening history, badges, streaks, and saved stories)
• All voice recordings you uploaded and every voice clone made from them (also requested for deletion from our voice provider, Replicate)
• Your downloads, playlists, progress, and parental settings

Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.

How long it takes

• In-app deletion: your data is removed immediately when you confirm.
• Email requests: we complete deletion within 30 days of verifying your request, and usually much sooner.
• Backups: any residual copies in encrypted system backups are purged on our normal backup-rotation schedule (within 30 days).

A note on subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel an active app-store subscription. If you subscribed to StoryHug Premium, cancel it through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings as well. See our Terms of Use for cancellation steps.
